Bulldogs drop pair of games to Union County

The Southern Appalachian Bicycle Association and town started work in 2010 on Piney Knob Trails, located on 700-plus acres in the Murphy watershed on Fain Mountain, which has led to 13.5 miles of trails being open to the public. The entry road has also been paved, allowing easy access for more vehicles and helping grow the sport of mountain biking.

Andrews remains unbeaten

Body The Eagles’ loss dropped their record down to 1-5. The win was the third in a row for the Bulldogs, bringing their record for this year to 3-0, after Murphy started later due to the football playoffs.

Body Track owner Jack Wimpey passed away at the beginning of the 2023 season. He left the track to his children, who decided to sell the 30 acres with an asking $1.25 million.
