Cats claw back at Panthers

Body Franklin outscored the Lady Cats 20 -7 in the second quarter to build a 39-22 lead at the half. Andrews closed the gap to 10 points several times in the second half, but could get no closer.

Bulldogs split 2 with Eagles

Body The Hiwassee Dam Lady Eagles took the win against the Lady Bulldogs 51-36, while in the boys game the Dogs easily dispatched the Eagles 81-46 on Thursday.

Eagles teams get good experience in tourney

Body Hiwassee Dam’s basketball teams participated in the round-robin Swain County Christmas Tournament last week, with the Lady Eagles coming away 2-1 but the boys not able to find their way to victory.
