One Andrews football player and four Murphy football players have been named to the All-Western North Carolina football team.
Tyler West, a senior for the Wildcats, was named to the first team at an offensive tackle. We will reportedly be taking his talents to N.C. State University next year.
The Bulldogs had four players on the team: Camden Breazeale was named to the first team as a defensive lineman; senior Hunter Stalcup was named to the second team as a running back; Brody Orton was on the second-team defensive line; and Ryan Payne was a second-team defensive back.
The good news for Murphy head coach Joseph Watson is three out of these four are sophomores and have two more years of eligibility with the Bulldogs.
