Body In his seventh year at the helm, Phillips led the Wildcats to one of their best seasons ever, finishing 13-1 while winning their first Smoky Mountain Conference Championship since 1983 and making their deepest playoff run since 2011. He was previously named SMC Coach of the Year.

Lady Eagles pull off close win vs. Swain

Body The Lady Eagles ended the game with four players having at least four fouls, and had to sweat after opening up a 54-45 lead with about four minutes left. Hiwassee Dam, though, never gave up the lead, outlasting Swain County 64-60 to take fifth place in the tournament.
