Mugharbil on to Colorado
Murphy alum and former Florida offensive lineman Yousef Mugharbil is transferring to the University of Colorado, he announced Saturday.
Mugharbil, who recently finished his redshirt freshman year for the Gators, did not see any game action during his two years in Gainesville. He entered the University of Florida as a four-star recruit, according to the 24/7 Sports Composite.
Mugharbil suffered non-life-threatening injuries when he was dragged close to 100 feet by a semi-truck while on a scooter ahead of his freshman year in Gainesville. He returned to the practice field late in the season but could never crack the rotation. Mugharbil will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
The Buffaloes finished 1-11 last year. Colorado hired NFL Hall of Famer and Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders to try to rebuild the program.
