Body The following people were booked through the Cherokee County Detention Center from Sept. 17-23, 2023, and federal law enforcement officers handled the cases.

American Legion Post 96 in Murphy conducted a brief ceremony on the square in downtown Murphy, joined by Cherokee County Commissioner Jan Griggs, Murphy Mayor Tim Radford and several other area residents. Next year, they hope to have the ceremony at Konehete Veterans Park.
