Art helps artist

An art show benefit sale for local artist Tom Vogler (below left), director of the Andrews Art Museum, was held Sunday at the Valleytown Cultural Arts Center in downtown Andrews. Donations from other local artists were offered for sale to help offset Vogler’s medical bills from a heart attack he suffered in early spring. Organized by the Andrews Public Library and the cultural arts center, pieces are still available for purchase. Donations can also still be made by calling 828-321-5956.
