Body Andrews – The forecast was iffy, but the weather turned out great for the Cherokee/Clay County Senior Games Opening Day at Andrews Recreation Park.

Eagles fall short of title

Body Unfortunately for the Lady Eagles, they came up short in both games, falling to the Lady Knights 7-3 on May 2 and 7-1 on Thursday.

Dogs track squads both 2nd

Body Sophomore Jordan Oliver came out on top in the wheelchair shot put, discus and 100-meter dash. Schwalm also finished third in the discus, and was named most outstanding female field athlete.

	Murphy – Since losing their opener to Swain County on March 15, the Bulldogs have done exactly what they need to do to stay in the race for the Smoky Mountain Conference championship.
