Have we all gone mad?

North Carolina, with critical officer shortages, is certifying those with criminal records and drug use in their background. Uniform delinquents with a badge.

The Supreme Court has ruled that “neither the Constitution, nor state law, can impose a duty upon police to protect citizens or their children from harm, even when they know the harm will occur. Police only have a duty to protect persons in custody.”

Qualified immunity protects officers from lawsuits – unless, of course, you are incompetent enough to get caught on video unjustly shooting then dragging an unarmed disabled man from his home and conspiring to cover it up.

So, police can see a crime committed and have no duty to intervene. Now that we have established police as nothing more than “widow dressing,” do we want officers with criminal records and drug use in our homes?

The Second Amendment and living in a state where we have no duty to retreat is our assurance, not police. Responsible citizens do not start fights, we finish them.

Get guns off our roads

This subject of guns. Our Second Amendment to bear arms for protection is one thing, but to drive around with it is another.

If you are in your own home or run a business, my belief is this is where you have a right to bear arms, to protect yourself and your business and cash.

Taking guns off the streets eliminates three-quarters of the problem. The other third is the criminals who need to be caught. How?

This is where guns off the streets puts the bad guys away when armed and dangerous behavior occur. We need our police officers to protect us and have stricter laws for everyone using these killing weapons, with classes to take We also need some sort of mental test to take to establish if people are mentally able and the reasoning why this person is in charge of the weapon in the first place.

Let’s get the guns off the streets so there is less killings and more restoring the faith of this country. We still have our rights to bear arms for protection and our businesses.

Let’s make change here people for the better and our country’s safety. The price is too high not to. Kids are not safe walking around at colleges because they might look Jewish. That is crazy. Stop this behavior. That’s not safety.

We need a change, and this is one answer that gives us our rights to bear arms, but also makes us safer if we don’t have people driving around with it. Period.

I don’t want to be looking over my shoulder, do you?

Israel has a right to land

My grandfather used to say, “Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.” My father had a different version, “Never argue with a liberal.  They are ignorant of history, oblivious to facts and will wear you down with bovine scatology.” That being said, the propaganda contained in the advertisements against Israel cannot go unchallenged.

Until World War I, what we call the Middle East was part of the Ottoman Empire. After World War I, the victorious British and French redrew the map of the region in accordance with their own political and economic interests, with no regard to ancient tribal, ethnic or religious history.

In so doing, they created new states; some with old, familiar names, all containing a toxic mixture of antagonisms going back to biblical times. In this manner, Turkey became an independent nation; Syria and Lebanon became part of the French mandate; Palestine, Tansjordan and Mesopotamia (what we now know as Iraq) were mandated to the British administration.

As a conglomeration of Assyrians, Kurds and Turkmen – further divided by Sunni, Shiite and Christian beliefs – ruled by an outsider who came to power only because he pledged to allow Britain to develop its vast oil reserves, Iraq was doomed from the start. Even worse, the witches’ brew of ancient hatreds that was Palestine boiled over in 1948, when the State of Israel was created in the aftermath of World War II.

  • The concept of “the Palestinians” is one that did not exist until after the State of Israel was created, when the Arab inhabitants of that area sought to differentiate themselves from the Jews.
  • The claim that Israel unjustly “occupies” Arab lands is another myth created by the Arab propaganda machine. All of Palestine, including what is the Kingdom of Jordan was, by the Balfour Declaration, set aside as the Jewish national home. How, then, could Israelis be “occupiers” in their own territory? In truth, the Israelis are entitled to more land than they claim.

‘Israel will be spared’

Turn on the news today, and you see Hamas rockets flying toward Israel. The munitions are very powerful, but they seldom hit their target. Why is this?

In early 1960, while many of America’s youth were becoming flower children and smoking pot, a brilliant engineer named Dr. Leon Riebman was inventing a guidance system that is still being used today. He was asked one day, “If a missile was fired from New York equipped with your guidance system and aimed at an outhouse in the Middle East, could it hit the target?” His answer: “The men’s room or the women’s?”

To this day, America, Israel and many of America’s allies use Riebman’s technology to keep us safe. Imagine for a moment North Korea, China or Russia having this ability. And Riebman was a Jew.

How many understand our very method of government was invented when in the 15th-century feudalism came to an end and a Jewish political economist named David Ricardo wrote Principles of Political Economy and Taxation. He used the term “capitalism” in his 1817 book, and our Founding Fathers used his writing to form our U.S. Constitution.

In 2005, Ariel Sharon gave the Gaza strip (some of the most desirable land in Israel) to the Palestinians by forcibly removing Jewish settlers and destroying their homes. Benjamin Netanyahu was opposed to the idea.

This brings me to the events of the day. On Oct. 7, Hamas attacked Israel with a vengeance. Fortunately, Israel has a brilliant, Bible-believing leader. His name is Netanyahu. Because he believes the Holy Bible, Israel will be spared.

The Word of God begins at Genesis 1:1 and ends at Revelation 22:21. Deuteronomy 7:1-14 is being played out before our very eyes as I write this letter.
