All veterans are welcome
The sixth annual Welcome Home Veterans event held on Oct. 26 at Western Carolina Regional Airport in Andrews was a big success again this year.
I would like to thank our primary sponsors, Ivie Funeral Home and Titan fuels. Also, our local businesses who donated prizes for the free drawings for our veterans: Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel, Harrah’s Landing Cafe, Murphy Walmart, Jacky Jones Quick Lane Hayesville, Mason Tractor, Scenic Flight-Gayland Trull and Bob’s Bears, along with other donations from town governments, businesses and individuals.
We can’t forget the food trucks that fed our veterans for free – The Ark, Dragon Ass BBQ, Frankie’s Dog House, Honey Bug BBQ and Papa Kash Food Truck.
We would also like to thank Liberty Foundation for the C-47 that flew in Normandy and the P-51 that flew in Korea.
Plans are already under way for 2025. God bless our veterans.

I’m thrilled that we had even more students attending this year, and I know they enjoyed every minute of it. Your presence and support meant a lot to them, and it truly made a difference.
I’ll be posting photos and sharing thank-yous with each of you soon, but I wanted to reach out personally to express my appreciation. Thank you for your commitment to our students and for showing up to make this event special.

God showed U.S. mercy
Thank you and kudos to all American patriots who used wisdom, discernment and common sense to elect Donald J. Trump our 47th president and for rejecting Kamala Harris’ manipulative lies, divisive tactics and outrageously liberal profile.
As many conservatives running for office across America also were favored, we have the highest hopes for our beautiful country’s future.
“With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26), so I give Him my most heartfelt thanks.
Christians should remember and follow 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land.”
We must always be salt and light on planet Earth, while giving God our complete devotion and gratitude. He has showed us mercy and blessed America. In return, may America bless God.

A dawning of new day
The American people have spoken – “Kamala Harris, you’re fired!”
Americans have turned the page, a new day is dawning. Patriotic Americans have buried Harris’ Marxist agenda. Even with the support of 83 American billionaires and George Soros, Harris couldn’t thwart the will of the people. Let freedom ring.
Not only did President-elect Donald Trump dodge a bullet, by the will of God, the American people stopped the bullet that would have killed our Constitution.
It’s ironic that Harris called Trump “unstable” and considers herself a strong woman and yet when defeated, she was so emotionally unstable that she couldn’t even face her most ardent supporters in a concession speech, thanking them for their support. Pathetic.
Following in the footsteps of Hillary Clinton. This is the woman who was going to negotiate with President Vladimir Putin and President Xi Jinping? Pfft!
Trump dealt with two impeachments, Russian collusion lies, countless indictments (which, by the way, they mysteriously dropped the day after the election) and two assassination attempts. Like Daniel in the lion’s den, Trump exhibited steely courage.
What motivated Trump to press on when he could have quit and spent the rest of his life enjoying his family and the fruits of his labor?
He loves America and the American people. With unstoppable determination, he fought to secure our beloved Constitution.
Pray for Trump that the Marxists don’t attempt an assassination, as they’re exhibiting a psychotic meltdown.
Trump will face huge problems. Eleven million more illegals costing billions, plus a coming alien flood in the next three months the likes of which we have never seen. Ukrainian and Israeli wars costing hundreds of billions, high inflation and skyrocketing crime, etc.
The only way to overcome this present darkness is with heartfelt repentance and fervent prayer. Will you pray?
