Some thoughts to consider on general election

In reply to the letters to the editor written a few weeks ago, Jesus is not woke. He is not a conservative nor a progressive. He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, Savior and Messiah.

“With his blood he did purchase for God men from every tribe and language and people and nation and made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God” (Revelation 5:9).

Some 120 years ago, Lenin and the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party introduced socialism to Russia. They urged their followers to distribute socialist propaganda, agitate political demonstrations and perpetuate unrest by using current political controversy. They convinced liberal sympathizers – or the useful idiots, as Lenin called them – to promote this socialist agenda. They degenerated the army and led it into defeat. They ignited an armed revolution, while laying the foundation for a civil war.

I wonder, are we traveling on Lenin’s road here in the U.S.A.?

We have two candidates to choose from this November with two very different ideologies for America, progressive and conservative. One believes America is a

systematic racist nation and that capitalism is unfair and unjust. The other believes that conservatism is the foundation on which our nation was built and seeks to preserve those cultural, social and political views.

Perhaps you like the security of a government that cares for you from cradle to grave. Maybe you want the challenge of independence with the freedom of choice and actions to determine the life you live.

However you decide this November, your decision will have consequences for everyone.

Trump does not support U.S. troops

Former President Donald Trump does not represent any of the values, honor, service or sacrifice that has built this great nation. This country has always been great, even in our darkest hours. This country does not need a revisionist who wants to be dictator from day one.

Trump cannot visit the gravesite of our fallen heroes in France because his hair would get wet, yet he can desecrate Arlington for a photo shoot for his campaign. This is the resting place of those whom he calls suckers and losers. If you cannot honor them, stay far away from these hollowed grounds

This household has Tricare. If he gets back into office, you can kiss this benefit goodbye – Read Project 2025. Fox News Poll (8-28-24) asked, “Who has a better outlook toward veterans?” Harris got 91%, Trump 6%.

Present or former members of the Department of Defense, who would vote for Trump? I will ask you – why did you serve?

To put a dictator in the White House, I do not think so.

Is gospel in your heart?

Romans 1:18-32 says that, in order to express His nature (holiness, truth and justice), God must punish sin. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools (v. 22); when they followed the lie they began to walk in conformity to the lie.

Three results of the Gentiles (sinner) rejection are given: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the creator, who is blessed forever (vv. 24, 25).

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And like wise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly (shameful), and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet (vv. 26, 27).

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder (unborn), debate, deceit, malignity (evilmindedness); whisperers, backbites, haters of God, despiteful (violent), proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful; who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them (vv. 28-32).

If they believes the gospel, they has life (union with God); otherwise they has death (separation from God).
