Homes filled with memories
As we explore North Carolina, we often see old gray structures that are in varying stages of collapse, overgrown to the extent they are often unseen.
There is something about these old cabins and barns that captivate me. I cannot help but think of what these buildings were like when they were first built.
It was someone’s home. I like to imagine a young couple building that cabin and filling it with their children. Can you hear the laughter of children, or imagine their fears as the lightning sizzles through the sky and thunder rumbles through the mountains?
In the frigid winter, the fire would be crackling, and sparks and puffs of smoke would be rising above the
cabin. The freezing wind and blizzard would creep in the spaces around the unsealed windows, and the family would huddle down farther in the feather beds and pile on homemade quilts.
The family all shared the chores, from the oldest to the youngest. Each member had their responsibility, and they worked long and hard to keep their little home. When chores were done, the children may have played games or explored the mountains or fished in the streams.
Life was simple, but fulfilling. I imagine the love and happiness they shared, and think about how proud they must have been of their little home in the beautiful mountains.
When you pass these cabins and barns, try not to see the decay and neglect. Try to imagine the joy, love and, yes, heartbreak and fear that filled these homes and remember the people who inhabited them and help keep the memories alive.
As the cabin returns to nature, I will remember.

Bankrupting U.S. leeches
In the beginning, the church and state turned their back on God: “And the Lord said, I will destroy man who I have created from the face of the earth: both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them” (Genesis 6:7).
After the flood, eight people remained alive. Again, tribute money was a religious tax of half a shekal, which every Jew (Christian) over twenty was expected to contribute to the upkeep of the temple of God, and the Roman Empire used this system in collecting taxes and working public officials of Jewish nationality as tax collectors and money changers inside the temple of God, since they were not subject to church prohibitions. Jesus went into the temple of God: and said unto them, It is written, my house shall be called the House of Prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves” (Matthew 21:13).
Rome placed supreme power in the hands of two political bodies – (1) the Assembly – Roman centurions (about 6,000 men) who provided necessary stability to the entire Roma Republic. (2) The Senate is the supreme council. However, when Julius Caesar was assassinated, his grand nephew, Augustus Caesar, became the leader of the Roma Republic.
“But they cried out, away with him, away with him, crucify him, Pilate saith unto them, shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, ‘We have no king but Caesar’ ” (John 19:15). They were not ignorant of Jesus, but they turned away their ears from the truth and crucified him.
The system has failed to solve economic and political problems because they are using the same blueprint as Rome, when the rich men began to press for a larger share in government handouts.

In response to my “inaccurate” letter in the Cherokee Scout newspaper, Mr. Daniels, you are right. I do watch Fox News, News Max, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS – the last four of which you’ll get no bad report on the big bad Bidens, such as the laptop from hell, influence peddling, Hunter’s tax evasion, the China dealings and the draining of our oil reserve.
As far as Donald Trump’s 30,000 lies he supposedly told in four years, that’s what CNN says. Let’s do a little math here. 365 days per year times four years equals 1,460 days times 24 hours per day equals 35,040 hours total equals about one lie per hour 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Really, this is the stuff you get from CNN. The conclusion – it would be hard even for Biden to beat this lie.
If you don’t know why they want rid of cattle you need to ask AOC – aka Alexandria O. Casio-Cortez.
Just so you know, Mr. Daniels, the Democrats don’t want rid of fake meat, they want you to eat it. It’s meat grown from a cell, and if you’re clueless as to why the Democrats want rid of nuclear power and your gasoline vehicle, you should read the Epoch Times. I do, you may learn something you didn’t know.
People, you should be scared of what will happen if Trump is not elected.
