This week’s question: Should Congress approve any bills that would cut Medicare or Social Security benefits?

  • Yes on both.
  • Yes on Medicare, no on Social Security.
  • Yes on Social Security, no on Medicare.
  • No on both.

“No because we’ve earned that, we contributed to it all of our working lives. It’s not just a handout, but it’s getting our investment back.”

“No to both, I’m on Medicare and Social Security. I’m 52, I retired early, but I paid a bunch in. I get a crazy check, which is for everything I’ve been through. It helps, so I don’t think they should cut either one.”

“None of them. There’s some people that can’t properly do the things that they need to do due to some kind of disability that they have. They need that kind of stuff to get through. Cutting either one would only hurt these groups of people.”

Ryan Gardepe

“I do not believe there should be any cuts to Social Security or Medicare. I believe people put in their hard work for these benefits believing they’ll receive them, and they should be there for them at their time. There will always be people who abuse the system, but it’s really for the greater good.”

Kelly Hembre

“No to both. People have disabilities where they truly cannot work. I cannot work, it’s documented on paperwork because of my bipolar. I cannot work ever again in my life because things could happen like I can accidentally hurt people. I’m not out there trying to hurt people in general, but it happens because of my bipolar. Cutting either would hurt anybody that’s on Social Security or Medicare if they need it.”
