This week’s question: Medical insurance rates have been going up and are expected to further increase after Jan. 1 due to a decrease in federal government subsidies. How would you like to see the government address this and other health-care concerns?

  • By maintaining all subsidies to the Affordable Care Act.
  • By sending all Americans a check to use on health care.
  • By getting the government completely out of health care.
  • By creating a single-payer universal health-care system.
.

“The government messes up everything they touch. Obamacare was a lie and that you can keep your doctors. All that did was kick the can down the road. It was their way of muscling in universal health care on the United States. We don’t want Canada, and we don’t want Europe. We want the U.S. and free capitalism.

“I would like to see checks go to people rather than big insurance companies. If
they wanna help us with our spiraling out-of-control health care, there should
be some kind of regulatory process to keep prices where the people can afford it. Big insurance companies are robbing everybody.”

“Well, it’s such an issue and, with the economy changing like it is, I know that the marketplace has helped my family. I think they should keep the Affordable Health Care premiums the same.”

“I think that they should regulate health-care costs. They need to make it more affordable because right now it’s unaffordable, everything is unaffordable.”

“I feel like more regulations in the insurance companies would be more beneficial. There are so many people who need lower cost options, including myself, who don’t have it.”

“Absolutely, I think everybody should get a check, everybody likes money. I’ve got nothing to win or lose, but they should send everyone a check.”
