“I’m happy with the results of both Murphy and Andrews with what I know of it. I like what they’re doing in Andrews better than I like what they are doing in Murphy.
“They are much more proactive in Andrews. I think Murphy’s kinda dropping the ball on extracurricular stuff. Andrews does a better job at bringing things to the community, like festivals and such.”
Matt White, Murphy

“I don’t really have a stance on it either way. If they got in, they got in for a reason; apparently some people like them. I don’t personally know them or what they stand for.”
Mark Gibson, Murphy

“We live outside of the city limits, and I think it’s wrong
that we can’t vote. If your
mailing address says Murphy, then you should be allowed to vote.
“They don’t want that because most of the county is conservative, and the city is more liberal. It affects us because we shop, we do the markets and everything inside of Murphy, but we can’t vote. It’s not right.”
Tasa Edwards, Beaver Dam

“I’m just very happy with the Murphy results. We live in Murphy, and I support all of the candidates that were on the ballot, and I love our mayor. I supported all six of the candidates, and I’m very happy they’ll be in our town council again.”
Debra Vanderlaan, Murphy

“No, I’m not happy with the results because the candidate I wanted to get in didn’t.
“I believe the candidate that was running put a lot into running and was working harder for the position, and didn’t get it. I’m sad because she would have been great.”
Erika Floyd, Andrews
