The Worship Tent is in Murphy for one year and one purpose: To pursue God for spiritual awakening and revival in our neighborhoods, homes, churches, communities, governmental offices and businesses. For revival in our pastors, God’s people and our congregations. For this awakening to come forth out of western North Carolina.
We are petitioning churches, pastors and congregations to unite and come into agreement for this one thing. Can we do this? Would we dare ask God to truly give us His heart and show us the compassion and desire He carries to reach the lost?
Truly, do we even carry that deep burden anymore for the lost? Examine yourself. Have you ever carried it? This is happening on our watch. Have we forgotten how to seek the face of God on our faces and cry out from our altars for these lost souls? For our own families?
I write this because I have had to examine my own heart for the lost. I thought I had His heart for the lost, but I am learning I truly did not. Not like His. There is nothing more important to our Lord, Jesus Christ, than “Go ye, therefore, into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Christian Lighthouse Ministries has been calling on churches and pastors to come together for spiritual awakening, and several in this tri-state area have already been united for this one thing. If you are praying for spiritual awakening and revival, look further than just our own churches because God wants to do a move in Murphy that will impact every church.
We need our congregations to come to their altars, repent when the Holy Spirit convicts and ask Him to give us a heart for the lost that burns within us.
A great awakening is coming. Look up to the Lord, believe when you pray, and be ready to be His hands and His feet. How beautiful are the feet of those who carry the gospel.
And to the congregations: this is not just the pastors’ jobs. God commanded all of us who believe to “Go.”
Come join us at The Worship Tent as we kick off this next phase God is taking this community into. At 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, The Allens will bring the sweet sounds of Southern gospel music. This family loves the Lord, honors Him and has a beautiful relationship with Him.
Come with your families, worship the Lord, turn off your televisions and computers, get off your couches, rise up and come spend some time worshipping the one true living God with your praises.
This is a sweet kickoff time, as we are calling upon the churches to join us in seeking God for a harvest of souls to come forth. Let’s prepare our hearts because the harvest is truly plentiful, but the workers are few.
May God prepare the way for His Spirit to truly fall in western North Carolina.
