Thankful for OT workers

.

Have you ever taken the time to think, really think, about all the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep all the things going that most of us take for granted?

A winter storm struck Sunday and Monday. And, for most of us, our electricity stayed on without delay. Phones continued to operate. Internet service stayed streaming. Law enforcement, fire and rescue services were available. And by the time we were able to leave our driveways, the primary roads – as well as some secondary ones – had already been scraped and salted by state workers.

The folks who essentially stay on call during these times are to be saluted. They may not get the credit they deserve, but these are the kinds of things that make a community what it is. And it doesn’t happen without good leadership at the top making preparations in advance.

So, from all of us to all of you, thanks for working overtime to provide the essential services that we rely on every day.
