The Cherokee County Schools Career & Technical Education Internship Program is celebrating a highly successful fall semester filled with hands-on learning, real-world experience, and strong community partnerships. This fall, 37 students participated in internships across the county, gaining valuable skills that will support them in future careers.
The CTE Internship Program is designed to help students develop good work habits, encourage personal growth, strengthen employability skills, and build awareness of community resources and the world of work. Through these work-based learning experiences, students spend time in professional environments under the direct supervision of business and industry mentors. This model provides meaningful exposure to career fields of interest while helping students understand the expectations and responsibilities of a real workplace.
An internship offers students the chance to step into the world of work and experience what their future career might look like. Our community partners play a huge role in providing these opportunities, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
This semester’s student outcomes included increased confidence, improved communication and problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of various careers available within the county.
Thank you to our community partners
