Cherokee County Schools is once again putting students’ futures in the spotlight as they gear up for the third annual Career and Technical Education Career Expo, happening on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at First Baptist Church of Murphy.

This highly anticipated event is an exciting opportunity for students to connect directly with local employers, community partners and colleges. With more than 20 industries and organizations participating this year, the Expo promises to be a valuable experience for students to explore career paths, ask questions and begin building relationships that could shape their futures.

The Career Expo is an amazing time for our Cherokee County students to meet and greet local employers. Last year’s event was a huge success, and we’re anticipating an even bigger turnout this year.

The Expo is part of a broader district-wide effort to prepare students for life beyond high school – a mission Cherokee County Schools takes seriously.

Preparing our students for the future is Job One in Cherokee County Schools. We want every student to graduate not only with a diploma but with a direction – and a plan to get there.

Educators across the county believe that exposing students early to real-world opportunities is key to keeping them engaged and motivated throughout their academic journey.

By giving students the chance to interact with professionals in a wide range of fields – from healthcare and manufacturing to public safety and technology – the Expo helps them see how their current coursework can directly impact their future goals.

This year’s event will focus exclusively on student engagement, streamlining the schedule to allow for more meaningful conversations between students and exhibitors.

Community members, business owners and post-secondary institutions interested in participating are encouraged to reach
out.
