Our first year at our new location has flown by. From the Valley River Arts Guild’s humble beginnings in 2010 with just 15 artist members, our membership has blossomed from 42 artists and crafters at our old location, to almost 70 in our new digs.
Our Murphy Art Center space has doubled in size at our new Peachtree Street location on the square, and visitor count to the gallery has tripled in just one year. We now have thousands of incredible arts and crafts on display and available for purchase. Your first word when entering the gallery will be, “Wow!”
Please join the Valley River Arts Guild at The MAC in celebrating our one-year anniversary at our new location at 12 Peachtree St. The party starts at 5 p.m. First Friday, Nov. 3, with live music on the square by the 1970s rock band Cletus Way, a chainsaw-carving demonstration on the grassy lawn by Chris Gagnon and champagne, refreshments and goodies inside The MAC, along with a special unveiling of “The Vault!”
Be sure to sign up for a spot in Buried Treasure, our new Legacy fundraiser. Details are available at the Murphy Art Center. Stop by or call 828-360-3038.
The MAC is open every day including Sunday, and late on Friday evenings. See you all downtown at our first-year celebration.
