Wood’s yard signs injured
I was troubled by the letter to the editor reporting yard signs for sheriff being removed and replaced with signs for the competing candidate.
I have met Chris Wood. My impressions of him was that he was a very upstanding, honest man and an excellent law man.
I have recently had the experience of someone vandalizing my yard sign supporting Chris Wood.
It was bent down to the ground and one of its legs broken off.
There is more than enough nastiness in our political world now. I hate to see it practiced locally.

What a gift we have in God
I’m reminded of the song “Farther Along.” It has such powerful words in it. “Oh what peace we often forfeit, Oh what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.”
Prayer is the most important gift we have, if we use it. Prayer is how we get salvation, prayer is how the sick are healed. Prayer is how we intercede with God on behalf of lost souls. We can use prayer for our kids and our loved ones.
Many other things we have the privilege of going to God with, remember Jesus made the way so we can go directly to the throne of grace, to where our heavenly Father sits on the throne.
Oh, what an honor to be able to talk to God the Father. He is the most important person in the world and, we as unworthy as we are, can go talk to Him anytime we want.
If you let your mind meditate upon this gift, it will touch your heart. But for those that have not accepted Jesus as their Saviour, they don’t understand what they are missing. But they can say a sinner’s prayer and accept Him in their hearts, then they can rejoice in our blessed Savior.
