From Andrews to Murphy – and even a couple of other points nearby –
Cherokee County celebrated the Fourth of July with celebrations like no other in the tri-state area.

You had no excuse not to have a good time Thursday, as peanuts passed from a plane, faces were painted, sonic splashes were created, fireworks lit up the night sky and good food made bellies protrude. There truly was something for everyone to enjoy.
Events like these don’t just come together one day; they take months of planning in order to make sure all of the events work out correctly. For that, we thank the officials from both towns who worked on making the holiday special, along with all the volunteers who helped make it happen. Your work is appreciated.
We are blessed to live in an area that
appreciates and respects holidays, especially those with a patriotic aspect. Never take that for granted; our freedom and independence are always worth celebrating.
