Career and Technical Education in Cherokee County Schools focuses on equipping students with the tools and experiences they need to succeed in life after graduation, whether they pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or explore entrepreneurial paths.

A significant addition to this mission is the introduction of the Adobe Academy at the Cherokee County Schools of Innovation.

Led by instructor Justin Byers, the Adobe Academy offers dynamic, hands-on classes in Adobe’s full suite of creative applications. Students can explore Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro, gaining invaluable skills in graphic design, video editing and content creation.

The academy is open to all Cherokee County students, providing a unique elective opportunity that combines creativity with cutting-edge technology.

“The Adobe Academy is an exciting new program that allows students to unleash their creativity while learning industry-standard software,” Byers said.

“These skills are highly sought after in today’s digital world and will open up career pathways in design, marketing and media production.”

Adobe Academy programs offer more than just technical knowledge. They build competencies in user experience (UX) design, data visualization and software engineering fundamentals. Additionally, students can earn an Adobe Certified Professional certification, validating their proficiency in specific Adobe Creative Cloud applications and enhancing their resumes and college applications.

The Adobe Academy represents the district’s commitment to innovative education, preparing students for a world where digital media plays a pivotal role in communication, business and entertainment. By investing in creative technology education, Cherokee County Schools is ensuring students are future-ready, equipped with the tools to thrive in the ever-changing global economy.
