County braces for more logging

Body The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners filed a petition for grievances in April that, among other things, included demands to revive the once-burgeoning timber industry.

Area man arrested on warrant from ICE

Body An allegedly undocumented immigrant is being held in Georgia by U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement after he was picked up in Murphy with an alien arrest warrant on May 15.
