Andrews – The Andrews Board of Aldermen terminated Natasha Whitaker as the town’s clerk and tax collector, naming finance officer Ethan McCubbin to fill in during the interim.
Marble – The Valley River Humane Society has hired a new shelter manager, the first since the sudden death earlier this year of Kirsty Waller, the previous shelter manager.
Ranger Johnny Martin does not act his age. Born in Violet in 1951 with the help of a midwife, the 72-year-old still works just a hard as any man half his age.
Murphy – Ulkesh Desai has always been a hard worker. Born in India in 1960, he and his family moved to the United States in 1985.
