Body Murphy – During the holiday season, the season for giving, two local veterans organizations came together as a team in support of a veteran in need.
Big Realty in Murphy ran a donation drive last month for the benefit of the Valley River Humane Society, which operates the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Marble. The owners and brokers are “Big” Frank Schuler and “Lil” Mary Schuler (at right). Leslie Miskove (left) is their office manager, while Jim and Phyllis Gerke (middle) are volunteers. Melody Johnson (left), president of the Humane Society, recently met with the Schulers to pick up the donations and express thanks on behalf of the animals.
