Body Texana – Organizers of the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast canceled the event for a second consecutive year due to rising COVID-19 case numbers.
Roger Carlton/The Graham Star Cherokee County only received significant snowfall in higher elevations through Monday, but the view was mighty icy over Lake Santeetlah in neighboring Graham County. Slick back roads in particular continued to be a challenge for some drivers, though the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday kept many vehicles off the highway.
