Spectators flocked to the baseball field for the peanut drop, a long-standing tradition at Andrews Recreation Park.

A pile of youngsters toss themselves onto an empty peanut bag that was discarded by the airplane after the drop during Murphy’s Fourth of July celebration Monday.

Mike Lakdawala, the new owner of Decker’s Flea Market, is a family man who says he wants to help Decker’s and its vendors succeed.

There were carnival games, bounce houses and even a portable pool for children to enjoy during the Peachtree Community Center’s free Summer Kick-off on June 18. Volunteers helped make the event a success, and not just in the dunking booth.

Horseshoes was a big part of the 2021 Fourth of July event in Andrews, and players will be back next week.
