Cherokee County community clubs cheered with cash

Body Murphy – It’s time for singers to perch in the 30-foot tree at the 49th annual Singing Christmas Tree as the Lord will be worshiped in music, dance and gospel  pageantry.

Kids laughed and played as groups of people conversed while waiting for the colorful array of lights to magically appear. About 5:40 p.m. Thursday, a day early due to the weather forecast, the  Christmas tree vibrantly lit up in Murphy for all to see.
