‘Diamond Dogs’ sweep Wildcats

Body On March 26, Murphy (4-3) hosted Andrews (1-4), and the Dogs won 13-10. Dogs pitcher Tommy Crapse held the Cats scoreless through two innings, and Murphy got a run in the first inning via Adam Cook’s RBI single.

Murphy hosts 1st conference track meet of season

Body Murphy – The Bulldogs hosted the first Smoky Mountain Conference track and field meet of the season on March 20, with Murphy, Hiwassee Dam and Nantahala competing.

Andrews, Tri-County start strong on track

Eagles start year in 30-0 no-hitter

Body In the second inning, Hiwassee Dam scored 14 more runs. Then to close out the game and earn the mercy rule win, they added on nine runs in the third inning.

Body Murphy scored early and often, as they kept the ball on their end of the field most of the game. Hailee Hill got things started for the Lady Dogs as she stole the ball and scored with 21 minutes left in the half.
