THIS WEEK'S QUESTION
Prediction markets are exchange-traded platforms where participants buy and sell contracts based on the outcome of future events, such as elections, economic data, sports results or even the outcomes of wars. Do you think this form of gambling should be better regulated?
• Yes, inside trading and threats to subjects have already been reported.
• No, we should let the free market take care of itself and society fix it.
"I don't know much about that, but on the insider trading and things like that, I think maybe it should be regulated. That's really the only part of the question I know anything about."

"It should be free market. I think we have too much government control, we need to be able to make our own decisions. If you gamble on something and lose, it's on you. I believe in deregulation."

"I do believe that there should be more regulations because a lot of people have a gambling problem. It can become an addiction, and so I feel like if there were more regulations on it people would do it a bit less, leading to less addiction. It would be good because it just damages the mental state of so many people."

"I'm all about personal freedoms. If somebody wants to go and do that or whatever, then that's on them. Personal decisions, not regulations."

"I don't know a lot about it but I'm against it. We have our personal feelings about gambling. Bingo is one thing, but at higher levels it can be quite detrimental, and it puts people in places where if they are using their finances or monies. Iit can end in poverty."
