In the last two years, I know six families who moved from Cherokee County to north Georgia solely because they felt there children would receive a better education – not because of the teachers, but solely due to the school’s resources.
Our county does not have the time to wait and see what happens before moving to improve our educational infrastructure. If we do, our schools will continue to lose great students and parental support, and our children will not get what they need to thrive in the 21st century.
