Cruise Night for Kids holds last Christmas party

Body Andrews – After 16 years, Andrews Cruise Night for the Kids has held its last community Christmas party.
Nichols Department Store was located on the corner of Locust and Main Streets in Andrews, and was similar to Belks, with a little bit of everything from baby shoes to lineman’s boots. Lee Burris (Teddy) Nichols opened the store in 1927, then in 1957 Lee B. Nichols Jr. came home to take over the family business, and in 1977 Lee Nchols III joined his father in the family business. After serving the public for more than 50 years, the store closed in 1980.
