Chair calls school votes right choices

Body The board of commissioners is evicting Cherokee County Schools’ Central Office from 911 Andrews Road effective Aug. 2 and redirecting future Article 46 quarter-cent sales tax proceeds from education to the county’s general fund.

Town keeps library funding level

Body Since 2020, the town has been putting $100,000 a year into the library – $20,000 for the building, and $80,000 that the library uses to pay for staff at the Andrews branch.
