Why garnish lower wages?

On March 23, I received a certified letter from the Cherokee County Tax Collector’s Office stating they were going to garnish my payroll check for $18.68, plus 66 cents interest and $60 for the cost of serving the notice to both myself and my employer for a total of $79.34 for delinquent taxes owed for 2020, in which I had no idea I owed.

Needless to say, after talking with people in the tax office I became upset over all of the explanations of why. And then a couple weeks ago, I opened the Cherokee Scout, looked through 3½ pages of delinquent taxes of various totals and noticed several owing thousands of dollars of taxes – and they garnish my check for $18.68.

Are they going after these taxes like they came after mine?

In the first paragraph of my letter it states ... “N.C. General Statutes authorizing the attachment and garnishment of wages, rents, bank deposits, proceeds of property subject to levy, and other tangible personal property …”

My taxes have been paid. When this happened to me and, now knowing how delinquent taxes can be collected, I wonder why there are so many delinquent taxes. Picking and choosing who they go after?

Nuclear not final answer

Washington’s biggest business is the selling of military weapons aboard.

Eisenhower in his farewell speech warned us about the increasing power of the huge military-industrial complex.

Politicians will now continue to get their political war chests filled by nuclear lobbyists under the Biden administration who just recently proceeded with the 23-Billion-dollar package of Trump’s biggest Arms deal for the United Arab Emirates.

The nuclear industry, most politicians and the media because of their millions in nuclear holdings especially during the threat or actual war, are in hopes mainstream will be suckered into believing if they are not in favor of building more civilian nuclear plants they will be faced with freezing to death in the dark while being forced to take a cold shower.

Because congress did not plan for safer energy alternatives, the fear is there will continue to be brown outs like what has occurred in California and will happen in New England when more plants like Seabrook Station in NH are shut down which was scheduled to be decommissioned in 2030.

Washington politicians and most of the press always look sideways when the topic of nuclear comes up.  Make no mistake whatever effects the Civilian Nuclear Power Industry directly effects the Nuclear Weapons Industry who count on separating plutonium and uranium from nuclear waste from civilian nuclear plants reactors to make more nuclear weapons to sell aboard.

This continued madness of building more or extending the operating licenses of Civilian Nuclear Power Plants to produce electricity must end.  Anyone in the know realizes the nuclear industry cannot compete economically like other energy producers who are much safer.  On top of that there still is no real solution or storage to the nuclear waste which is active for over a million years.

This and other nuclear safety issues are the very reasons why We The People has asked the New Nuclear Regulatory Commission Inspector General, Robert J. Feitel to investigate how the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board ramrodded the extension of Seabrook Nuclear Plant’s licensee from 2030 to 2050.

Don’t defund police forces

We should all realize that our country, the greatest in the world, is a country of law and order. Our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, God-given rights, are all are founded on His word.

These left-wing Marxist organizations, Antifa and Black Lives Matter are going against everything we stand for. They are rioting, burning and destroying, looting and stealing from businesses, our people – black, white and others – have worked hard for. All in the name of police brutality and racism.

Our law enforcement officers are our heroes, they try their best to keep us safe. What chance does a police officer have when no one is held accountable? Every life is precious, but the left-wing rioters, left-wing media and even some of our Democratic House officials only object when a black person is killed by an officer. What about the officers killed doing their job?

Leftists are using this to degrade our police, and they are putting a target on every officers’ back. It is all by design.

The left-wing Democratic Party wants policing to be controlled by the government. Another power grab, straight from the left-wing Marxist handbook.

We cannot let this happen. There are a few bad apples in every job in this country, 99 percent of police officers are dedicated to keeping us safe, and they love their country

You can’t say that about these left-wing organizations. They are a lawless generation, void of any moral compass.

Support our law enforcement, tell them they are our heroes. They are the ones standing between law-abiding citizens and destructive, fear-montering, left-wing rioters.

Give law enforcement more money, support, positive coverage and credit for the job they do. If you can’t agree, then you go do their job.

God gave us this great land. Let’s take it back.

Don’t fear clean energy

A recent letter to the Cherokee Scout stated, “A significant contributor was half the windmills being frozen.” This statement is false.

Seeing that Texas gets only 10 percent of its electricity from wind, that would mean only 5 percent of its power failed because of the wind turbines.

The reason they froze is because Texas cheaped out, and the turbines were not equipped with the heaters that prevent them from freezing.

The significant problem was the coal and natural gas plants that failed. These facilities froze because they are uninsulated, leaving them vulnerable.

This storm was historical, but fingering the little guy is very misleading.

I’ve read dozens of Home Power Magazines and have never heard of turbines needing so much oil, so I doubt these statements are true. Being afraid of clean energy is senseless and always has been.

America is under siege

Western North Carolinians, please wake up! Our freedoms are under siege.

Most of you are seeing this, some of you are in denial. There needs to be more people acting to preserve our liberties. If more of us don’t take a vocal stand against what is happening to our republic, then we will be forced to defend our Constitution in an ensuing revolutionary/civil war.

The Covid-19 lockdowns, social distancing and masks have been designed to subjugate you. And the public is supporting this nonsense by putting a guilt trip on anyone who tries to break the spell by not wearing a mask in public.

We don’t need a vaccination, which could be a detriment to you when the next variant of Covid surfaces. But by all means, get vaccinated if that will stop your harassment of those of us who won’t be vaccinated. But I beseech you, don’t play their game. Let us get back to living and stop wearing these ridiculous, smothering, sanitary napkins on our faces.

Twenty-one states have stopped the mask mandates and shutdowns. Losing a business you have worked so hard to create and have put everything into is worse. Broken marriages from Covid is worse. Depression and suicide in families is worse.

Not being able to visit an elderly parent in a rest home is worse, and them dying all alone is worse. People not being able to get the medical help they need and dying in some cases because of it is worse. Governing officials, state and local, who grab power and dictate to citizens what they have to do concerning their own bodies is worse. Business owners and rigid people battering others personal body rights is worse.

Losing our republic to socialism is worse. Losing our freedoms is what’s worse!
