Folks were picking their viewing spots prior to the start, and their excitement was obvious from Andrews Road to Valley River Avenue.
Cherokee County Girl Scouts Troop 10283 took second place in the town’s colorful Christmas showcase.
The Murphy Scuba float earned the award for Best Holiday Cheer, according to the voting panel.
