Starting Monday, Cherokee County Schools students are no longer required to don masks at school – at least for the time being.

COVID-19 cases in Cherokee County are finally starting to decline.

Cases continue to decline in Cherokee County, even as more COVID-19 deaths have been announced. 

While overall test scores fell substantially in the 2020-21 school year, which was heavily affected by COVID-19, Cherokee County Schools’ assessment results closely mirror those at the state level.

Even as positive signs continue to appear and case numbers continue to trend downward, COVID-19 has claimed five more victims in Cherokee County.
