Wildcats expected to have edge over Hayesville

I would like to start to talk about my football prowess in week two, as I went 3-0. Let’s see if we can keep it going in week three, with some big matchups ahead.

Murphy at West Henderson

Murphy showed improvement from week one, but the Bulldogs’ defense is going to be put to a real test in week three. West Henderson has a 6’5’’ tight end the Falcons love to get the ball to, and their quarterback is as talented as we have seen all year when it come to passing. I don’t see the Dogs winning this one, even though I want to be a homer and pick them. Falcons by 12.

Hayesville at Andrews

This game is a toss-up, as we don’t have a whole lot to go on. Hayesville lost to a good Asheville School team, and Andrews’ win was against an inept Rosman team. Hayesville won this matchup last year at Andrews 16-6, but Andrews had many starters already done for the year by then. I’ll take the Wildcats by 1 only because they are playing at home. This will probably will be the best game of the week to watch. Wildcats by 1.

Robbinsville vs. Mountain Heritage

Mountain Heritage is undefeated coming into this game, and many folks think it will be the team to beat in 1A. They are ranked second overall in western North Carolina, but they haven’t been to the Big Oaks yet. Still, I don’t think it will matter. Mountain Heritage has very good skill players. I’m not saying Robbinsville’s skill people are bad, just not as good as the Cougars. They will be too much for the Black Knights, but the Knights will play them tough. Cougars by 6.

Cherokee vs. Choctaw Central

The Braves host their brother tribe from Mississippi this week. Over the years since these two teams started playing, Cherokee has owned them. This week will be no different. Braves by 14.
