The American Championship Wrestling Federation kicked off July with two shows on back-to-back weekends.
ACWF kicked off its run with the FreedomMania 250 in Andrews on July 2, celebrating America’s independence with professional wrestling.
They then returned to the Peachtree Community Center for Summer Showdown on Saturday night for the second show of the month.
FreedomMania 250
To celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary of freedom, ACWF held its first show in Andrews in a long time on July 4.
In the opening match, Thundercat got the win over Adrian Crocell.
In the second match, Moki defeated Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles after Stiles was caught with a kendo stick.
In the third match, the ACWF tag team champions – The Family – defeated the American Outlaws.
Killshot then defeated Theo in the fourth match of the night. A special referee was called in and it was Town of Andrews Mayor James Reid.
Reid got in on the action and ended up getting slammed during the match.
Ace Hart and Frodo then faced off in the ring. After a hard fought match, it ended in a no contest after Kevin Seiber and Ronnie interfered with the match.
In the main event of ACWF FreedomMania 250, wrestlers got in the ring for a battle royal match to crown the new ACWF heavyweight champion.
The final man standing in the ring was Gunmetal Grey and he was crowned the new ACWF heavyweight champ to close out ACWF’s event in Andrews.
Summer Showdown
ACWF returned to its home at the Peachtree Community Center Saturday night for Summer Showdown.
Saturday night’s show kicked off with Buckshot of the American Outlaws defeating Weasel of The Family.
In the second match of the night, Ace Hart got the win over MD King and Spitfire.
The tag team titles were on the line in a triple threat tag team match.
The Family retained their ACWF tag titles by defeating the American Outlaws and the team of Theo and Thundercat.
In another tag team match, Cousin Condry and Vito defeated Flex Ferguson and Mike Clay.
The next match put the ACWF United States title on the line. KZ Smith defeated AJ Morgan for Smith to become the new ACWF U.S. champion.
The following match had even more at stake. In a Texas bullrope match, Frodo took on referee Ronnie. If Frodo lost, he would have to retire, but if Ronnie lost he was banned from refereeing for a year.
After a tough battle with a lot on the line, Frodo got the win to avoid retirement and had referee Ronnie banned for a year.
The American Outlaws then came to the ring and attacked Frodo, but he was saved by Ace Hart and Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles.
The Outlaws threatened commissioner Andy to reinstate Ronnie, but he declined. Then Digger James said that Ronnie was reinstated as an ACWF referee.
In another tough match, Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles defeated Moki in a dog collar match. The match featured special referee Stryker.
In the main event Saturday night, Kevin Seiber awaited his opponent only for commissioner Andy to announce that he would be battling Killshot.
It was a bloody and brutal match as two hard-hitting wrestlers gave it their all in the ring.
The main event ended in a double count out.
