Charity bass tournament in Hayesville coming Saturday
The Andrews Police Department will hold its bass fishing tournament Saturday at Ledford Chapel Boat Ramp on Lake Chatuge in Hayesville.
The tournament will be held from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and benefit the Andrews Police Department.

Wildcats men’s golf gets big win over conference teams
The Andrews boys golf team earned a close win on March 18 at Chatuge Shores.
The Wildcats shot 193 to win. The Murphy Bulldogs shot 199 to secure second place over Highlands and Hayesville.
Murphy’s Connor Golden was the individual winner by shooting 40. Murphy’s Bradey Golden, along with Andrews’ Tucker Stalcup and Brady Queen, all tied for second by shooting 45.
Andrews’ Braxton Rickett shot 50 to finish in seventh place. Murphy’s East Manuel and Andrews’ Boone Parker shot 53 to finish T-11.
Braylen Maennle of Andrews shot 55 to finish T-13 and Murphy’s Abram Twiggs shot 61 to finish in 19th.
SOCCER
Jaguars fall in games against Summit Charter, Swain Co.
Tri-County Early College played two games last week and fell in both matchups.
In their first game on the week of March 19, they fell 9-0 to tough opponent Summit Charter.
In their second game the following day, they fell 4-0 to Smoky Mountain Conference opponent Swain County.
They will take on Blue Ridge Early College at 4:30 p.m. Monday in their next match.
WRESTLING
‘Chaos’ will ‘reign’ soon as wrestling comes to Peachtree
The American Championship Wrestling Federation will return to the Peachtree Community Center, 125 Miracle Lane, for their next show Saturday, April 5.
“Chaos Reigns” is sure to live up to its name with many hard-hitting matches.
ACWF superstars the American Outlaws, Frodo, Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles, Stryker, Flex Ferguson, Kevin Seiber, The Freak, Billy Havoc, MD King, American Standard, Cousin Cletus, Vito, Billy the Kid, KZ Smith and Plowboy are set to be in action.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under.
