Volleyball camp May 31
Murphy volleyball will holds its annual summer camp Tuesday, May 31, and Wednesday, June 1, for kids entering grades 3-8. The camp will run from 4-7 p.m. at Murphy High School.
Campers should also bring knee pads, a water bottle and appropriate shoes both days. The camp costs $60, which includes both a camp T-shirt and volleyball.
The registration form can be found on the Murphy High School Athletics Facebook page, and the completed form can be brought on the first day of camp. Pre-register by contacting Jordan Lovingood at Murphy Elementary School or Amanda Johnson at Murphy High.

Football camp set
Murphy football’s annual youth camp will take place from 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, for kids ages 7 to rising ninth-graders.
The cost of the camp is $45. A registration form can be found on the Murphy High School Athletics Facebook form, but you can also register on the first day of camp at 8:30 a.m. in the Murphy High gym. For details, call head coach Joseph Watson at 837-2279 or 361-5712.

Soccer camp June 13-15
Murphy will holds its seventh annual youth soccer camp from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, June 13-15, at the soccer field behind Lowe’s.
The cost of the camp is $50. Kids ages 5-14 are able to participate.
Campers are expected to bring soccer cleats, shin guards a soccer ball and a water bottle or other sports drink. For details, email Justin Butler at MurphySoccerNC@gmail.com.

Otis set at FCA camp
Former Atlanta Braves outfielder Otis Nixon will appear at the FCA Baseball Camp Monday through Wednesday, June 6-8, at Konehete Park.
The camp is for players ages 6-19 and is open to the first 100 signups. The cost is $100 per camper, though each sibling will receive a 25 percent discount. If a family cannot afford to send a child, they will search for a sponsor. Campers will receive a poster signed by Nixon as well as a signed baseball.
The registration form can be found on the FCA Baseball Camp Facebook page. Bring the completed registration form to the first day of camp or email it in advance to crumfelt@fca.org.

Rotary golf tourney set
The 2022 Golf Tournament of Champions sponsored by the Rotary Club of Murphy will tee off at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Mountain Harbor Golf Club off U.S. 64 East.
The format is a two-player Captain’s Choice and cost $200 per team, which includes green and cart fees. Appropriate golf attire must be worn. Team fees will go toward payouts estimated to be from $600 for first place to $100 for seventh.
