Benefit show on Saturday
The American Championship Wrestling Federation will host a benefit show at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Peachtree Community Center, 125 Memory Lane.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. There will be a meet and greet from 4-6 p.m. Meet and greet tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for kids, and include a ticket to the show.
Tickets to just the show are $8 for adults, $6 for ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and under. ACWF superstars such as Frodo, Flex Ferguson, Axel Freakin’ Gunn, Killshot, Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles, Moki and Void will be competing.

Youth days coming soon
Youth deer hunting days are set for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27-28.
Deer season officially kicked off Sept. 6 with archery season beginning. Archery season runs until Nov. 14.
Following archery season are black powder and gun hunting seasons that begin in November. Pheasant hunting is also in season until Feb. 28, 2026.
GOLF
Girls golf 3rd match
Tri-County Early College’s girls golf team competed against Rosman and Cherokee in their third match of the season.
The teams competed at Connestee Falls Golf Club in Brevard on Sept. 9.
The Jaguars had two golfers play in the match. Madison Deren shot a 55 and Ruby Kuykendall shot a 59. Deren and Kuykendall’s scores are their lowest this season.
