League hosts camp to learn and get better
The Cherokee County Soccer League is hosting their soccer summer camp for kids ages 4-15 from Monday through Thursday, July 28-31.
The camp will be held at Heritage Park in Andrews from 10 a.m. to noon each day and costs $60 per person. Pre-register online by Friday to get a CCSL T-shirt.
The goal of the camp is to learn communication, chemistry, skills and leadership in the realm of soccer. The camp is for both new and seasoned soccer players.

RACING
Cars, kids On the track
After canceling the July 4 races due to severe weather, Tri-County Racetrack plans to hold its next race Saturday, July 19.
They will host fan appreciation night at the track, including the kids bike race. The winner in each age group will win a bike, while second and third place will receive medals.
The regular classes will hit the track looking to pick up a win at the “hidden gem” in Brasstown.

BASEBALL
HD hosts ball camp
Hiwassee Dam is hosting a youth baseball camp Thursday and Friday on the Eagles’ baseball field.
The camp, for ages 8-14, will be held from 5-7 p.m. each day, and in the high school gym in case of inclement weather.
Registration is $40 per child and includes a Hiwassee Dam baseball T-shirt. The camp will be led by Eagles’ baseball coaches and players.

CHEERING
AHS hosts cheer camp
Andrews High School is hosting a youth cheerleading camp Monday through Wednesday, July 14-16, in the gym from 5-6:30 p.m. each day.
The camp is open to first- through eighth-graders looking to learn or refresh their skills in cheerleading. Cost is $35 per person to participate.
