    Friday night’s result: The Murphy Bulldogs defeated the Georgia Force Christian Academy Blue Knights by a score of 40-9.

    Gentry’s wins: 409, needs three to tie the record, four to become North Carolina’s all-time winningest coach.

    Next up: Murphy hosts Christ School at home on Friday, Sept. 13.

    Gentry says: "Pass defense and pass rush will be two of them," Coach Gentry said of the team's focuses in practice this coming week. "I mean we've got to emphasize that because we're going up against a real good passer."
