Men of Honor calls for rivalry to end during ACWF Cage Wars next month
Peachtree – The American Championship Wrestling Federation held an action-packed show over the weekend to a loud and full crowd Saturday night at the Peachtree Community Center.
Headlining the event was ACWF heavyweight champion Mr. Atlanta 2 taking on challenger Digger James.
James and “The Fulton County Frankenstein” put on a heavy-hitting match that ended in Mr. Atlanta 2 retaining after a count out with both men outside the ring. After the bell had rung, James continued to beat up the champ, including a chair shot outside the ring and him landing multiple heavy punches in the ring.
As James was beating up a downed Mr. Atlanta 2 in the ring, the locker room cleared and they came out to separate the two. The baby faces (good guys) held back James, while the heels (bad guys) held back Mr. Atlanta 2.
After they finally separated them, The Chief came out and announced that there will be a rematch next month inside a steel cage at ACWF Cage Wars.
In the co-main event, Kevin Seiber, the newest member of the American Outlaws, took on Rodney Hayes. Seiber came to the ring accompanied by Killshot and Axel Freakin’ Gunn of the American Outlaws and Haze came to the ring with Stryker and Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles of Men of Honor.
Seiber defeated Hazes and the Outlaws and Men of Honor started off outside the ring, adding anticipation of their match next month.
Prior to Seiber’s win, Stryker, Frodo and Stiles came out to announce that they want a match next month inside a steel cage to settle their feud. The Chief came out to make it official and announced the stipulation that the final two men standing will be crowned ACWF tag-team champs. He said no what which faction the two men are a part of, they will be tag champs.
The Freak and Lee Andrews came out and said they want a shot at the tag titles, too, so The Chief said if they can beat a mystery tag team from Georgia that they will be the No. 1 contenders and get a shot at titles at November’s event.
Next month’s match could very well likely mirror the carnage that was July’s main event, which was a carnage-filled fight where nothing was off limits.
Earlier in the show, The American Outlaws were in action against the tag team of Billy Havoc and Damien. Both tag teams went at it in a match full of heavy hits and big slams.
Interference on the outside played a big role, including Seiber distracting Jeff the Ref while Killshot and Gunn hit their finishing move to win the match.
Prior to that match, The Freak and Lee Andrews took of Stryker and Mountain Man Jeremy Stiles of Men of Honor. The Freak came to the ring wielding a bat with barbed wire on it.
During the match, Andrews used the bat to hit Stiles in the back while we was pinning The Freak. While Stiles was in the ring, The American Outlaws came out and took out Stryker, while Stiles got pinned in the ring to lose the match.
In the first match of the night, Frodo faced fan-favorite Flex Ferguson. Ferguson came to the ring to a roar of cheers from the crowd, with a few jeers, from his fans wearing their Flex Ferguson T-shirts.
As the match was underway, The American Outlaws and Seiber came to the ring and distracted Jeff the Ref. While he was distracted, Ferguson hit Frodo with a low blow, then got Jeff’s attention so that Ferguson got get the pin and the three count for the win.
After the match, Frodo challenged Ferguson to a match next month inside a steel cage. The Chief said there will be multiple people involved in the match and that it will be a memorial match for Tombstone.
ACWF will return to the Peachtree Community Center at 125 Memory Lane on Saturday, Oct. 5, for an action packed Cage Wars.
