Murphy – The Murphy Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season Friday night, falling 27-7 to the Christ School Greenies.

An early first-quarter 43-yard touchdown run by Devonte Murray put the Bulldogs ahead by a score.

But Murphy’s offense, marred by penalties, dropped passes and other mental mistakes, was unable to put any more points on the board.

Murphy’s defense played well throughout the game, keeping the Bulldogs in the contest and into the fourth quarter trailing just 14-7.

However, the game slipped away from Murphy in the fourth quarter as Christ School came away with the victory behind a strong performance by quarterback Navy Schuler.
