In the final matches of the regular season, local teams competed in Hayesville and Cashiers
It was the last round before the upcoming conference championship as team’s begin the postseason.
Andrews competed at Mountain Harbour Golf Club in Hayesville, while Murphy and Tri-County Early College played at Old Edwards Club in Cashiers on April 14.
Andrews
The Wildcats played Mountain Harbour in Hayesville on April 14. The team was again led by Brady Queen.
Queen shot 43 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine across two rounds. He shot a total of 82.
Braylen Maennle shot 54 on the front and 57 on the back for a total of 111 for two rounds.
Jayce Donaldson shot 54 on the front and 58 on the back for a total of 112 for the two rounds played.
Tucker Stalcup played nine holes and shot 48.
Queen had the lowest average of 41 at Mountain Harbour across the two rounds. Maennle averaged 55.5, and Donaldson averaged 56 strokes.
Murphy
The Bulldogs played Old Edwards Club in Cashiers – the site of the first round of the Smoky Mountain Conference championship – on April 14.
They played two round at the course. Easton Manuel shot the team’s lowest score in the first round, and Elijah Kerley had the team’s lowest score in the second round.
Manuel shot 45 in the first round and 52 in the second round. His total was 97 across the two rounds.
Kerley shot 59 in the first round and 49 in the second round for a total of 108 strokes.
Brady Grant and Abram Twiggs both shot 109 across the two rounds. Grant shot 53 in the first round and 56 in the second round. Twiggs shot 56 in the first round and 53 in the second round.
Brody Orton shot 53 in the first round and 62 in the second round for a total of 115 strokes.
Tri-County
Jaguars golfer Hayden Blanton took on Old Edwards Club and played two rounds.
Blanton shot his lowest score of the season in the first round as he shot 60. In the afternoon round, he shot 63.

The first round of the Smoky Mountain Conference championship was held after the Cherokee Scout’s press time Tuesday morning.
The second round of the SMC championship will be played Monday.
