Andrews and Hiwassee Dam faced off on the diamond as the Lady Eagles got the series sweep.
The in-county rivals faced off in two close games with the biggest winning margin being five runs.
Eagles win 10-5
In their first meeting on March 24, the Lady Eagles got the 10-5 win on home field over the Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Wildcats got the scoring started early with three runs on the top of the first inning. The Lady Eagles then scored two runs in the bottom of the first to trail 3-2.
The Lady Eagles then tied the game 3-3 with one run in the bottom of the second.
Andrews then took a 4-3 lead with one run in the top of the third inning, but it was short-lived as the Lady Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take the 5-4 lead.
Hiwassee Dam then pulled ahead with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to extend their lead to 9-4.
Andrews made it a 9-5 game as they scored one run in the top of the fifth.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Lady Eagles scored one run to take a 10-5 lead. They held the Lady Cats scoreless in the top of the seventh to win the game 10-5.
Brinkley Payne led the Lady Eagles as she scored four runs. Sophie Gibson and Gracie Rhodes scored two runs each.
Payne also led the team with three stolen bases. Rhodes and Ryleigh Harris had two stolen bases each.
Abby Harris pitched a complete game for the Lady Eagles giving up five runs on six hits.
Kaiya Ellis and Chanteah Rattler scored two runs each for the Lady Wildcats. Chloe Patterson scored one run.
Rattler had four stolen bases and Ellis had two.
Eagles win 9-6
The in-county rivals met again on the diamond in Andrews on Friday. Hiwassee Dam got the series sweep with a 9-6 win.
The Lady Eagles scored two runs in the top of the first inning to get the scoring started.
Andrews scored one run in the bottom of the second inning to trail 2-1. Then the Lady Eagles added two more runs in the top of the third to lead 4-1 through three innings.
The Lady Eagles added two more runs in the top of the fourth and Andrews scored one for Hiwassee Dam to lead 6-2 through four innings.
Both teams scored one run in the fifth inning as the Lady Eagles led 7-3.
The Lady Eagles added two more runs in the top of the sixth to lead 9-3.
Andrews attempted a late rally as they scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but they couldn’t catch the Lady Eagles. Despite scoring late runs, the Lady Eagles won the game 9-6.
Payne had another multi-run game as she crossed home plate three times on Friday. Gibson also scored multiple runs as she crossed the plate two times.
Payne had three stolen bases and Abby Harris had two.
Abby Harris pitched five innings, giving up three runs on two hits and striking out seven batters. Sophie Gibson pitched two innings and gave up three runs on two hits with one strikeout.
Ellis and Patterson scored two runs each for the Lady Wildcats. Rattler and Ellis were the only ones to get an extra base hit as Rattler had a double and Ellis had a triple.
Patterson and Azlyn DeHart had one stolen base each.

The Lady Eagles will face Robbinsville at home at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in their last game before spring break.
When they return, they will host Hayesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
The Lady Wildcats will travel to Bryson City to face Swain County at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
They will then host Murphy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 when they return from spring break.
