The second week of November is here. While the frequency of high school games has decreased, the importance has only increased.
The second round of the football state playoffs will be played Friday night, when Murphy hosts Albemarle.
Also Friday night, Nantahala basketball will be in action in their first Little Smoky Mountain Conference game of the season and second game of the 2025-26 season.
Wrestling season will also kick off Saturday, when Andrews participates in the Wildcats’ first event of the season.
Also on Saturday, the Hiwassee Dam Lady Eagles will be in action at Polk County, Tenn.
