In their lone game of the week, the Wildcats defeated Robbinsville on the road for their third straight Smoky Mountain Conference win.
They were back Monday as they faced the Knight again.
Cats win 5-4
The Wildcats faced Robbinsville in a conference matchup Friday. The Cats got the win 5-4 despite late runs from the Knights.
After a scoreless first inning, the Wildcats got on the board with one run in the top of the second inning. Robbinsville then tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning.
Andrews then answered by breaking the tie with two runs in the top of the fourth inning to lead 3-1. The Cats extended their lead with two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to lead 5-1.
Robbinsville then scored one run in the bottom of the fifth inning. They scored two more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but couldn’t catch the Wildcats.
Andrews secured the win for their third straight against conference opponents.

The Wildcats hosted Robbinsville for the second game in the series Monday evening
With a walk-off walk in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Wildcats defeated Robbinsville 6-5.
Robbinsville took an early lead, but then Andrews stormed back with four runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game.
With the game tied 5-5, Ethan Sutton was walked with the bases loaded to bring home Logan Shuler as the winning run.

The Wildcats will return to the field at 4:30 p.m. Friday, when they host in-county rivals Hiwassee Dam. They will host the North Georgia Tribe from Dawsonville, Ga., at 4 p.m. Monday.
